This is "The Multimedia Signal Processing and Security Lab", short WaveLab, website. We are a research group at the Computer Sciences Department of the University of Salzburg headed by Andreas Uhl. The short name "WaveLab" already indicates that wavelets are among our favorite tools - we have 15 years of experience in this area. Our research is focused on Multimedia Security including Watermarking, Image and Video Compression, Medical Image Classification, and Biometrics.

About Me:

    I am a PostDoc researcher in the Wavelab group of Prof. Uhl. My Ph.D. studies (March 2007 - August 2010) were focused on novel probabilistic models for wavelet transform coefficients with application to Content-Based Image Retrieval, medical image classification and multimedia security (image watermarking in my case). Currently I am working on real-time LIDAR-based obstacle detection by means of a Velodyne HDL-64E S2 sensor (primarily used in the DARPA Urban challenge).

 
 

Reproducible Research:

    Since i am a great fan of reproducible research in signal and image processing, i provide code (mainly MATLAB, C++) for most of the listed research papers. According to our group policy, source code which implements other peoples' research work is freely available for download and source code for our own papers is availabe upon request.
