Project Description

This is "The Multimedia Signal Processing and Security Lab", short WaveLab, website. We are a research group at the Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces (AIHI) Department of the University of Salzburg led by Andreas Uhl. Our research is focused on Visual Data Processing and associated security questions. Most of our work is currently concentrated on Biometrics, Media Forensics and Media Security, Medical Image and Video Analysis, and application oriented fundamental research in digital humanities, individualised aquaculture and sustainable wood industry.

Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Vision Salzburg (AIIV)

Project Description:

The WISS2025 project Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Vision Salzburg is aiming to develop a set of solutions for industrial vision problems. Target applications include product as well as human subject authentication and microscopy-based cell analysis. The application of recent artificial intelligence technology links the various solutions, in particular, the common and binding element among all topics is how to deal with insufficient training data, either incorrectly/inaccuratly labled or simply insufficient in terms of data volume. This project is conducted in cooperation with Authentic Vision, Dental Manufacturing Unit, e-Mundo, Skidata and TECAN.
