Member Profile

This is "The Multimedia Signal Processing and Security Lab", short WaveLab, website. We are a research group at the Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces (AIHI) Department of the University of Salzburg led by Andreas Uhl. Our research is focused on Visual Data Processing and associated security questions. Most of our work is currently concentrated on Biometrics, Media Forensics and Media Security, Medical Image and Video Analysis, and application oriented fundamental research in digital humanities, individualised aquaculture and sustainable wood industry.

Arthur Schuchter

About Me:
My name is Arthur Schuchter and I began my studies at the university of Applied Sciences of Salzburg. For my diploma Thesis I worked in cooperation with the University of Limerick in Ireland, where I worked in the field of Blind Source Separtion for my diploma thesis. Furthermore I hold a degree of a Master of Computer Electrical Engineering for my work Music Notes Recognition on a Palms which I achieved at the University of Halmstad (Sweden). Currently I am in my third year of my PhD studies at the University of Salzburg (Computer Sciences). My main fields are video/image coding and compression.

Research Interests:

  • image, video coding
  • signal processing
  • music notes recognition
  • music intsrument recognition
  • blind source separation
