Iris Segmentation Ground Truth Database -- Elliptical/Polynomial Boundaries (IRISSEG-EP)

This is "The Multimedia Signal Processing and Security Lab", short WaveLab, website. We are a research group at the Computer Sciences Department of the University of Salzburg headed by Andreas Uhl. The short name "WaveLab" already indicates that wavelets are among our favorite tools - we have 15 years of experience in this area. Our research is focused on Multimedia Security including Watermarking, Image and Video Compression, Medical Image Classification, and Biometrics.

Software

We used the USIT software, mostly for generation of masks and for the caht, iffp, wahet algorithms, it is available here.

The software for extracting masks and unrolled iris images from the parameters given in the database, as well as the mask comparison software is included in the IRISSEG-EP package available below.

Groundtruth Database

On this page we provide two packages for the IRISSEG-EP dataset, the extracted masks for the data for direct use and the parameter files with software to extract the masks from the actual iris image databases.

The IRISSEG-CC database is provided at: http://islab.hh.se/mediawiki/index.php/Iris_Segmentation_Groundtruth (Halmstad University).

Note that the IRISSEG-EP database only contains ground truth and masks not the original images. The source databases to which the ground truths apply can be found at:
